WHAT IF DOMESTIC APPLIANCES HAVE THEIR EMOTIONS?
Washing machines, air conditioner, coffee machine...there is an endless list of appliances that work for us nearly everyday in living scenario. We take it for granted.Obviously these machines don't have such demand to hear "thank you" or "worked hard dear" from us. However, in some cases, if we designers could make these machines show/mimic some vividly emotions may benefit us in several aspects.
1)save energy
Sweeping the floor sounds not like heavy housework, however many people(just like shown in the video) resort cleaner for help out of laziness. That is a huge waste of energy and family budget.
2)prepare ourselves for the new relationship with machines
In the near future, we are very likely to live in a world full of machines. Thus we need to think about our relationship in advance: co-worker? competitive relationship? friends?...Maybe emotional interaction between us is the first step.
